Newborn Bunny Butt {diaper cover}

Materials & Notes: Red Heart Baby Clouds &/or Light & Lofty yarn in your choice of color(s). Size N (10mm) hook Stitch marker %" Buttons (2) Pompom maker (or use a piece of cardboard) Scrap yarn in a similar color about 12" long to use for tying the pompom (not fuzzy is best). ch = chain sc = single crochet sc2tog= sc 2 together sl st = slip stitch pm = place marker :4: turn; sl st into 9 sc, sc in next st, pm in 1sc, sc in 10 st [9 sl st, 12 sc R5: ch1, turn; sc across [12 st] R6: repeat R5 [12 st] R7: ch1, turn; sc2tog, sc in 9sc, sc2tog [10 st] R8: ch1, turn; sc across [10 st] R9: repeat R8 [10 st] R10: ch1, turn; sc 2tog, sc in 7sc, sc2tog [8 st] R11: ch1, turn; sc across [8 st] Repeat R11 until piece is 9" from beginning chain to last row. Cut yarn & fasten off.

Join new yarn to opposite side with a slip stitch. Sl st across 8 stitches, sl st into corner stitch to turn. SC around edge of diaper cover to opposite inner corner. Slip stitch into corner. Cut yarn & fasten off. Weave in ends. Sew buttons to diaper cover as shown in this photo.

Fold both sides of waist band across front and button down. Make a pompom and tie to back for a bunny tail! (Tie strings in a bow—-not a knot—-and the tail can be removed or changed to a different color pompom for a different look!)
