Local Flavors in Every Stitch: MU Creek Socks Pattern by Sarah Jo Burch - Handcrafted with Love

locαl blavOR - MU cREEK SOCKSBy Sarah Jo Burch

Short socks for summer days! Inspired by the swirling creeks that cross and border our local system of trails, these are a quick knit with nontraditional decreases on the gusset and toe. The purled central panel appears to widen and narrow as it conforms to your foot - like a rushing stream, guided by its banks.

Supplies:

- 1 hank of Pagewood Farms Denali (l used Peaceful, and it took less than 50 grams for the pair) - US size 2 needles (double-points or circulars, whatever floats your boat. I used one 40" circular and knitted them one at a time, magic loop)

Gauge:

15 stitches in 2 inches (this creates a women's medium sock - for a small, go down a needle size; for a large, go up a needle size)
