Simply Stunning Fashion Scarf
By: Vicki Plunkett Add a festive and fun finishing touch to your wardrobe with this fabulous and flirty fashion scarf! Skill level: Easy Materials: 2 skeins of Caron Simply Soft Party Yarn or Simply Soft, size I crochet hook, and a yarn needle Stitches used: Chain stitch (ch), slip stitch (ss), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc)
Let's Begin!
1. Ch 141, \*dc in 5th ch from hook, ch 1, sk 1 ch, rep from \* across 2. Ch 4, turn, \*dc in dc, ch 1, rep from \* across, ending w/ dc in 3rd ch. 3. Ch 4, turn, \* in next stitch work (dc, ch 1, dc, ch 2, hdc, ch 2) rep from \* in every ch & dc around entire perimeter of scarf. Join to 3rd ch of beg ch-4 of row. Finish off. 4. w/ rs facing, count over 29 ch-1 spaces located in the center right side of the scarf. Mark the 29th ch-1 sp w/ a stitch marker. Count over 11 more spaces and mark the 11th ch-1 sp w/ a stitch marker . 5. Join yarn w/ ss to first ch-1 sp on the far right hand side of scarf, ch 4, (dc, ch 1) 7X in same sp, \*(dc, ch 1) 8X in next ch-1 sp. Rep from \* up to and including marked ch sp. In next ch sp work (hdc, ch 1, sc, ss). Finish off. Rep step #5 on opposite end of scarf. Weave in ends.
