Back and Front: se original pattem. Work both pieces to desired length; discontinue lace pattrn and knit 3 rows plain. Waistline casing: With smaller needles, work in stockinette stitch until the piece measures $1\%$ inches from where the lace pattern ended, stopping after working a right side row. With wrong side facing, knit one row. This will form a ridge for turning the casing. Continue in Stst until piece measures about $1\%$ inches from turning ridge. Bind off. Finishing:lock piees Sew side seams.Fold waistineat turing rdge and sewedge to form a casing,leaving anopening fr insertinglastic ertlastic,yoskirt and ajst lastic asdd Stthens ofelastic tgethbyand orahinn sewing thread. Sew the opening closed. Weave in ends, if any.
