Modified EP Mobius Pattern: A Detailed Crochet Guide with Special Stitches and Adjustable Length

Abbreviations and Stitches Used:

ch = chain st = stitch sk = skip sl st = slip stitch BLO = back loop only sc = single crochet dc = double crochet fpsc = front post single crochet fphdc = front post half double crochet fpdc = front post double crochet Special Stitches: Embossed Pockets (EP)- Pockets are worked in groups around the post of previous DC round. Work (1 fpsc, 1 fphdc, 3 fpdc) around indicated post. You can find an excellent tutorial for this stitch by New Stitch a Day here. Gauge: 11 dc x 6 rows = 4x4 inches Rnd 1 - Foundation Double Crochet 123 stitches. If you are unfamiliar with this stitch please see Tamara Kelly's tutorial. Join to the top of the first dc making sure not to twist your work. You can immediately join the bottom with an invisible join, also demonstrated by Tamara Kelly and weave in the end. (123 stitches) Or chain 123, join to the first ch being careful not to twist your work. Ch 3 (will count as a st here and throughout) and work a dc in each st around. Join to top of ch 3. (123 stitches) You may easily adjust length by adding or subtractingmultiples of 3. Rnd 2 - Ch 3. DC in each stitch around (123). Join to top of ch 3. Rnd 3 - Ch 1, sk 2 st (including the joining st), \*Sl st into next st and make EP around the post of the same st., sk 2 st\* (41 EP). Repeat from \* to \* to end of rnd and join to first st behind the first EP. Rnd 4 - Ch3, dc in the next 2 sts behind EP, dc in each st around continuing to work 3 sts behind each EP (123 dc), join to top of ch 3. Rnd 5 - Ch3, dc in the next st,in 3rd st, yo, pick up BLO of 1st dc of EP of previous rnd and the dc of current rnd, complete dc, \*dc in next two stitches, yo, in next st pick up BLO of the 1st dc of EP of previous rnd and the dc of current rnd, complete dc\* repeat to end of rnd join with a sl st to top of ch3.
