Directions:

Brim: With US 7/4.5 mm circular needle loosely cast on 85 sts. Join to knit in the round, be careful - do not twist sts. Set up row1: Slip 1 st, place marker, \*p1, k2, p1\*, repeat between \* until 5 sts before marker, p1, k2, p2 together, slip marker. Set up row2:\*p1, k2, p1\*, slip marker. Repeat set up row2 once again, what gives 3 rows of ribbing total. Body: Switch to the US 8/5.0 mm circular needle. Knit with the chart from 1 to 34 row. Note - the chart shows only 28 sts, you should repeat it 3 times to cover all 84 sts. After the 34 row knit once again 3-8 rows (you should knit 40 rows total). Crown shaping: For decreasing knit with the chart from 41 to 57 row, you should have 18 life sts. Cut the yarn leaving 6" tail, thread it through the remaining sts, pull them to close the crown. Finishing: Weave in all ends on the left side of the hat. Block to fit (it isn't necessary). Abbreviations: k-knit p-purl st(s) - stitch(es)
