This pattern contains intructions to make crowns and tiaras sized from newborn totoddler Skill = beginner Needed 4mm crochet hook Yellow DK (8ply US 4ply) yarn White DK (8ply US 4ply) yarn Pink DK (8ply US 4ply) yarn (or colours of your choice) Yarn needle Stitches used DC = double crochet SC = single crochet SL ST = slip stitch ST = stitch FO = finish off Special stitch used = shell stitch: (3dc's, ch3, 3 dc's)

Aran/worsted weight (10ply) yarn can be used instead of DK - if you do then check sizing, you may need to use a smaller crochet hook This pattern is written in US terms The crown and tiara can be made larger or smaller, just make sure your starting chain number is a multiple of 6. Number of ch st to start Newborn = 66st 3-6 months = 72st 6-12 months = 78st Toddler = 84st In yellow (or colour or your choice) and with a 4mm (G) hook Ch the required number of st's for the childs age and being careful not to twist chain, join to first ch with a sl st Round 1: Ch 1, sc into each chain around, join to chain 1 with a sl st Round 2: Ch 1, sc into same stitch, \*skip 2 stitches, shell into next stitch, skip 2 stitches sc into next st\* repeat from \* to \* to the end of round, join with a sl st to the sc.
