1 ball sport wt. cotton yarn (e.g., Bernat Dewdrop) Size G hook Tapestry needle for weaving in ends Gauge: 4 sc = 1" on size G hook Terms/Abbreviations: beginning (beg), chain (ch), double crochet (dc), half double crochet (hdc), hook (hk), repeat (rep), single crochet (sc), slip stitch (sl st), stitch (st)
Washcloth
1: Ch 21 sc in second ch from hk and in each sc across turn (20 sc) Rows 2-4: Ch 1, sc in ea sc across, turn. Row 5: Ch 2, dc in ea sc across, turn (20 dc) Rep Rows 2-5 four times. Rep Rows 2-4 once. Edging: Rnd 1: Ch 1, work sc evenly around washcloth, working 3 sc in each corner. Join to first sc with slip stitch, do not turn. Rnd 2: Ch 2, dc in ea sc around, working 3 dc in each corner, join to first dc with slip stitch, do not turn. 3: Sl st in ea dc around, join to first sl st and fasten off.
