Illimani Yarn, Cadena 1 (71% alpaca, 28% merino), 45m/100g 1 and a half skein (150 grams) Color: 190 Bleu Denim Needles: circular 8mm (US 11) dpns 8mm (US 11) Gauge: 14 sts = 4" in pattern (not stretched)
Size:
The stitch pattern is very extensible, so the hat fits a head circumference from 21 to 23,5".
How to work the twisted stitch:
A twisted stitch switch the order in which the sts are knitted. It's like a cable, but with 2 sts. Stick the right needle in the back loop of the second st on left needle. Sl the 2 first sts out of the needle. Sl the first st back on the left needle, then the second. The sts have been twisted. Purl the first one then knit the second.
Instructions:
Using the circular needles, CO 60 sts. Join in round being careful not to twist the sts. Place marker for the beginning of the round. Work 29 rnds of the pattern from chart or written instructions (next page). 15 patt rep. Note : every k sts are worked in the back loop of the st.

Switch for dpns at the beginning of the decreases.
Finishing:
Cut the thread and draw it through the remaining sts. Weave in all ends and block.
