This last row provides the spaces for the drawstring to feed through. Cut yarn leaving a \~4" tail, yarn over & pull tail all the way through, pull tight, & weave tail into backside loops.
Black Strap

We are starting the strap at the more visible top of the bag because the end will have a somewhat less attractive slip stitch seam, so that will go at the bottom. Attach yarn as pictured to the Black Top's bottom row, along the seam edge. The strap will be 6 sts wide, so it will sit evenly spaced over the vertical seam with 3 sts on either side. The strap is done in sc to minimize stretching. Starting 3 sts to one side of the seam, sc 6 with the final 3 sts on the other side of the seam. not count as 1st st), sc in same 1st st & in each st across; 6 sts made.\*\* Repeat from \*\* to \*\* until you have 124 total rows. This will give a snug fit for both an over-the-shoulder & a cross-body strap. Keep in mind that the strap will stretch; to see what its eventual length will be, pull it firmly.

Now sl st the strap's edge as pictured to the Black Base's final row, again over the vertical seam, with 3 sts on either side of the seam. Cut yarn leaving a \~4" tail, yarn over & pull tail all the way through, pull tight, & weave tail into backside loops.
Black Drawstring
Beginning with a \~6" tail, ch 100, then cut yarn leaving a \~6" tail, yarn over & pull tail through, & pull ight. Beginning at the front-most space in the bag's top row (opposite the seam/strap "back" side), feed drawstring in & out of the spaces all around until you reach the front again. Optionally, attach beads to drawstring ends & secure with large knots. Trim ends to desired length. \~ The end \~ If you can, please post a Project Page to Ravelry--we'd love to enjoy your piece with you! <3
